The Syrian flag summarizes the long political history of the Arab nation.
It was originally formed in 1916 when the the allies requested Sheriff Hussein the leader of the great Arab .revolution against the Ottomans to claim a certain flag in order to recognize the Arab boats sealing in the red sea from the Ottoman ones the target of the British navy .
The red color refers to the tribe of Quraish of the 6th scenery (now in Saudi) from which the prophet Muhammad descended.
